چکیده

Background Drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome is a potentially life-threatening multiorgan systemic reaction that includes skin rash, fever, lymphadenopathy, internal organ involvement, and leukocytosis with eosinophilia. Evidence for reactivation of human herpes virus (HHV) 6 has been seen in some DRESS patients. We present a case of allopurinolinduced DRESS syndrome and describe the immune reactions through the identification of proliferation of CD8-positive T lymphocytes against HHV-6 peptides pool (HHV6-U90) by flow cytometry.

Gene profiling of B lymphoblastoid cell lines from DRESS patients after drugs incubation

Background Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptom (DRESS) is a severe drug-induced cutaneous reaction with visceral involvement and blood abnormalities associated with reactivations of herpes-virus family i.e., EBV, HHV-6, HHV-7 and CMV. Recently, we demonstrated that the immune response in DRESS, previously thought to be directed only against drug components, is also mediated by ...

Association of CD8(+) T lymphocyte repertoire spreading with the severity of DRESS syndrome.

T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated cross-recognition is a major mechanism in the pathogenesis of drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome. However, the characteristics of the TCR repertoire and the clinical significance of repertoire reformation throughout the course of DRESS are unknown. Here, we isolated CD4(+) and CD8(+) T-cells from peripheral blood of 8 DRESS pati...

Clinical and laboratory improvement after intravenous immunoglobulin in drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms.

Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), also called drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome, is a severe adverse drug reaction associated with immunologic abnormalities and viral reactivation. DRESS is difficult to diagnose because the symptomsmimic several other diseases and can appear long after initial drug exposure. RegiSCAR, a diagnostic tool developed to diagnose DRE...

Drugs responsible of DRESS syndrome regulate IL-10 and TNF-α secretion

Background Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) is a severe drug-induced reaction that involves both the skin and the viscera. Several herpesvirus family members like EBV or HHV-6 can be detected coincidently with various clinical symptoms in DRESS. In addition, we have previously identified activated EBV specific cytotoxic CD8+ T cells as major actors in the pathophysi...
